Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam rightly quoted, “You have to dream before your dreams can come true.” Inspired by his words, many dedicated minds have spent their time planning to provide quality education to the needy people from rural areas, especially the doubly marginalized. Consequently, the high caliber of those minds resulted in establishing Raja Matriculation School in 2009.
With extreme sensitivity to national policies and community needs, the Trust extended its educational services beyond the school level. Therefore, they established the higher educational institution, Raja College of Arts and Science, in 2017. Seva Rathna Thiru. T. Raja serves as the Founder and Chairman of our college.
The newly administered college took its very first step in higher education in 2018. Its prime motive is fostering students’ knowledge acquisition and career readiness. Furthermore, the Raja College of Arts and Science falls under the jurisdiction of Alagappa University. The Tamil Nadu Government sanctioned the college (G.O.115) in 2017.
The first academic year (2018-2019) unveiled five undergraduate courses: B.A. English, B.Sc. Mathematics, B.Sc. Chemistry, B.Sc. Computer Science, and B.Com CA. Subsequently, the college expanded its offerings in the next academic year (2019-2020), adding BCA, BBA, B.Com, and B.Sc. Bio-Chemistry.
The academic community surely and sanguinely feels every ounce of air within the campus filled with academic ambience, compassion, and magnanimity. Through non-scholastic activities like cultural programmes, sports, and inter/intra-college competitions, we cultivate self-discipline among the students. Moreover, spacious computer and chemistry laboratories actualize and digitalize the inquisitive minds of students.
The general library in the college astounds the students and helps them become voracious readers. In addition to academics, education with accommodation is a special feature of our college. We arrange sophisticated transport facilities, making higher education at your doorsteps. Consequently, competitive physical education emphasizes quality education for student growth and development.
Proficiency in language skills is instructed within the college campus. This elucidates the latent dexterity of the students and integrates their personality. Ultimately, real education enhances a human being’s dignity and enriches his/her self-respect. The Placement Cell trains students to enhance their ability in entrepreneurship and employment potential from the day they enter the college campus.
