The Placement Cell of Raja College of Arts and Science organized “Placement Mela 2K26” on 6 April 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the College Auditorium. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to interact with potential employers and to facilitate employment opportunities for graduating students across various disciplines.

The programme was conducted in the august presence of Sevarathna Dr. T. Raja, Chairman, Raja Group of Institutions; Mrs. R. Jeyanthi Raja, Trustee, Raja Group of Institutions; Dr. R. Thillai Rajkumar, Secretary, Raja Group of Institutions; and Dr. M. B. Palanikumar, Principal, Raja College of Arts and Science. Their presence added significance to the occasion and encouraged students to actively participate in the recruitment process.

The programme commenced with Tamil Thai Valthu, followed by the Welcome Address, which formally greeted the gathering and highlighted the significance of placement initiatives in higher education. In the Presidential Address, the Principal emphasized the institution’s commitment to enhancing students’ employability and strengthening industry–institution collaboration.
Several reputed organizations participated in the placement drive, including Vardhman Yarns and Threads Ltd. (Erode), MRF Tyres (Chennai), Shishya (Ramanathapuram), Pentapolis Foundation (recruiting for multiple automobile companies in Sriperumbudur, Chennai), and Vertical Solutions (recruiting for companies such as TATA Electronics, Foxconn, and Unitech). The representatives from these organizations interacted with students and conducted screening and interview sessions to assess their knowledge, communication skills, and professional aptitude.


The Placement Mela witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various colleges. The recruitment process provided them with valuable exposure to professional hiring procedures and helped them understand industry expectations.


The event proved highly productive, as several students successfully cleared the interview rounds conducted by the participating recruiters.


Notably, some candidates were issued appointment letters on the spot, reflecting the effectiveness of the placement initiatives undertaken by the institution and the employability potential of its students.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the management, recruiters, faculty members, and students whose support and participation ensured the successful conduct of the event.
